i forgot who told me this, but i think it was some elementary school teacher or someone who said they were standing on one side of a border. i’m on this side! then they hopped to the other side. i’m on that side!! and then came back and forth again.
i did that with my friend, but it was more like 10 minutes across a 989 m bridge. we ended up walking from ontario to quebec, then to ontario, and then, back again to quebec, and of course, back to ontario.
according to the health app on my phone, we walked 29,462 steps that day1.
the original plan was to go to chaudiere falls to see the sunset. the thing is, we began our trip in the morning, so it would be a long while until the sunset2.
also, we were pretty happy with wandering around anyway. it was budget-friendly entertainment3.

is it just me or is it weird that with numbers, you don’t put a space after a comma, but in sentences, you do? ↩
-
it took like an hour and a half to get from kanata to downtown, so if you left too late, you’d pretty much have to leave right away. ↩

i love paying taxes, rent, and $4.10 to make a 10 minute car ride take 1.5 hours ↩
