according to the ottawa tourism website, 7 of canada’s 9 national museums are in ottawa. i don’t know why i didn’t go to any, but maybe i should have.
despite not visiting any museums, i did do a lot of other things in ottawa. i collected a bunch of things from while i was there.

from mostly left to right, top to bottom order1
-
ticket for kiki’s delivery service. my friend and i went to costco for lunch before the film. both of us got a slice of pizza from the food court. they took way longer than expected, so we ran2 to the theatre while holding the pizza
-
business card for friend working at kanata north business association. my co-op friends and i went to a few knba networking events. it was kind of funny when we bumped into my friend who was running them.
-
menu for perch. my aunt and uncle treated me to a 9-course meal. the food was really good, and you could tell they put a lot of effort into the dishes.
-
turkish kebab house. my friends and i went there before going to the diefenbunker, which was the one museum that i did end up going to.
-
merge robotics business card. the team had their meetings in the office. really cool team.
-
print of chateau lafayette. i got this watercolour print from the milk shop in byward market. my uncle and i did the ottawa secret food tour, and the guide said that justin bieber once went to the laff and got in trouble for forgetting to tip.
-
cav tech brochure. i went to the kanata job fair and talked to some co-ops from cav tech who said their company culture is really great and fun. they also get nice merch.
-
parkrun barcode. parkrun is a free weekly timed 5k run by volunteers. i got massively humbled by a bunch of people who were triple my age. i aspire to be that fit when i get old.
-
oc transpo map. i got this from the tourist office but ended up using the transit app instead.
-
cubicle name tag. during the work term, i swapped it with my desk neighbour just for fun. i put them back after it confused someone trying to speak to my neighbour. then, my desk neighbour flipped the name tag upside down, causing hr to tape it.
-
ottawa postcard. got this from 613 flea. for some reason, the price per surface area for postcards is a lot more worth it than full size prints, so i like buying postcards and using them as posters.
-
menu for atelier. more fine dining!
-
ottawa public library card. somehow ottawa public library has 33 branches. markham only has 8, and i thought that was a lot.
-
altitude card. got the punch card. pretty sick design.
-
ticket for the mummy. this was from a free movie screening for filling out the warner bros discovery survey from the kanata tech job fair. horror movies are not my cup of tea.
